Research on Coriolus
Coriolus polysaccharides are the most thoroughly researched and most successful all-natural immune supplement in the world and the only immune-enhancing product to be proven in independent, published clinical studies. Most of the over 400 published studies on coriolus have concentrated on the immuno-modulating and anti-tumour properties of hot water extracts of Coriolus.
Japanese studies on patients with gastric cancer treated by chemotherapy showed that those given coriolus extracts had less recurrence of cancer and greater disease-free survival rates.
Japanese oncologists have used Coriolus polysaccharides to support immune health after surgical treatment for various conditions and to support and protect immune health in those patients receiving therapies where immune suppression is a prominent feature. Japanese clinical research has consistently demonstrated the ability of Coriolus to double and even triple survival rates for people receiving chemotherapy and radiation.
Randomised double-blind clinical trials in China demonstrated that Coriolus improved the clinical symptoms commonly occurring in cancer patients, for example, weakness, tiredness, poor appetite, pain, anxiety, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, and spontaneous and night sweats. In addition, it minimised the side effects of chemo-or radiotherapy, stabilised the white blood cell count, increased the activity of NK and LAK cells, reversed the CD4+ /CD8+ ratio and raised the value of Karnofsky evalution.
- Coriolus has been shown to reduce cancer metastasis, stimulate interleukin-1 production in human cells, and scavenge free-radical oxidising compounds
- In China, Coriolus is used for viral infections of the liver, including hepatitis B and chronic hepatitis, and it is used as a preventive and curative drug for liver cancer
